The Trust for the National Mall and its partners at the National Park Service invite you to be a part of the historic celebration of America's 250th by becoming a MALLSTAR Volunteer — joining our special expanded Volunteers-in-Parks (VIP) Volunteers on the National Mall.
In 2026, Volunteers will be the first line of welcome for the nearly 50 million people expected to visit Washington DC and the National Mall during this monumental year.
We’re doubling our award-winning volunteer team to be nearly 500 strong, helping NPS park rangers guide and educate visitors at sites across the National Mall.
MALLSTAR Volunteers will mark this monumental 250th year with 250 hours of volunteer service and earn a volunteer park pass and special recognition for theirservice.
And be a part of specialized trainings, engaging celebratory events, and a thriving, dynamic community of civic-minded individuals championing our public lands and shared American story.
