Lockkeeper’s House - Fully restored with Immersive Exhibits telling the history behind the Mall – Reopened 2022
U.S. Park Police Horse Stables Education Center – State of the art barn and new Wells Fargo Education Center to welcome the public to learn about the horses and their history on the Mall. Opened 2023
Lincoln Memorial Undercroft – A brand new special tour and experience created by the National Park Service sharing the history and legacy of Abraham Lincoln and the memorial that helped shape a nation, with support from the Trust for the National Mall. - Opened June 25, 2026
Seawall Restoration - at the Tidal Basin around Jefferson Memorial. Led by the National Park Service and supported by the Great American Outdoors Act – Completed 2026
Memorial to the 56 Signers of the Declaration of Independence and Constitution Gardens - Reimagining this 36-acre central space and lake on the National Mall to honor our nation’s founders
Lafayette Park - Beautifying and Restoring the iconic fountains and gardens at this historic park at the White House and ensuring it is maintained and cared for for the future.
Sylvan Theater - Reimagining this humble community performance space at the Washington Monument to become America’s Civic Stage

A Brand-New National Mall Civic Learning Platform – Experience the National Mall Gateway, a new digital and on-site platform that invites visitors to curate tours, learn their civics, dive in to history, discover hidden stories and experience the National Mall like never before — both on the Mall and virtually from anywhere.
Expanded MALLSTAR Volunteers-in-Parks Volunteer Corps –We’re working to expand and train a new special MALLSTAR corps of volunteers to help NPS Park Rangers welcome, guide and educate visitors for 2026 and beyond.

Concerts on the Avenue at the US Navy Memorial
Tuesdays in August, 7:00-8:15 PM
Spend a summer evening on the Plaza with the full U.S. Navy Band as part of the Concerts on the Avenue series. Join on select Tuesdays at 7:00 PM for live music in a setting that blends tradition, community, and the spirit of the Sea Services. More info here.
Spirit of '76 Congressional Exhibit
Ongoing through 2026
Take a tour of the historic Capitol with one of the engaging Visitor Guides when you visit the special Congressional exhibit, the Spirit of ’76. Visitor Center Curators and Education Specialists will host an array of onsite public programs – including Family Programs for young learners – highlighting the special exhibit.
